DC Metro = Ministry of Magic?

As a longtime Harry Potter fan, I was surprised to discover it has almost entirely escaped my attention that the sixth movie, The Half-Blood Prince, arrived in theatres this week. I've been too preoccupied to buy a ticket to go by myself, like I did with The Order of the Phoenix, so no review.

But to celebrate the movie's release, I felt I should mention how the first thing the DC Metro reminded me off was HP's Ministry of Magic. Like the Ministry of Magic, the DC Metro is full of cavernous archways, escalators and paths going off every which way, while the endless hum of well-dressed bureaucrats march off to keep the country running. Add a few paper airplanes and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, I tell you.
